Prof. S.O. Junare
Director (I/C) – Institute of Forensic Science
Prof. S.O. Junare is Professor of Forensic Accounting and Dean, Faculty of Management at Gujarat Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar. Recently he has been appointed as a Director at Institute of Forensic Science, one of the prominent constituent institutes of Gujarat Forensic Sciences University.
Prof. Junare has diversified combination of talent and education. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Master degrees in Commerce and Philosophy from Amravati University and his MBA and LLB (Special) degrees from Gujarat University. He completed his PhD from University of Pune in 2000. He has also undergone FDPM program with specialization in Financial Management at IIM Ahmedabad in 1995-96. He is well known for his contributions to management education and training in the field of banking, finance, cooperation and rural development and has several distinctions in that field.
Prior joining to Gujarat Forensic Sciences University he was working at Raksha Shakti University as a Registrar. He has an extensive experience of more than 25 years in management education. He has worked as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor and Director at National Council for Cooperative Training, (Govt of India) and National Institute of Cooperative Management, Gandhinagar from 1992 to 2016. He has also served as Statistician, Directorate of Economic Research at Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Mumbai. He was also appointed as a Dean of Faculty of Management at Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad from 2009 to 2016. He is also holding an additional charge as Incharge Director of Institute of Training at GFSU Gandhinagar.
A highly recognized researcher, Prof. Junare is a member of various committees and boards at various universities and educational institutes and Government. For his outstanding contribution to management education and training, he has received many accolades including Best Teacher award in 2014 and in 2017, from Higher Education Forum, Mumbai. He is also a chief editor of NICM Bulletin: A Journal of Cooperation and Management (since 2003). Prof. Junare is also a member of the Centre of Professional Excellence in Cooperatives, NABARD [BIRD] Lucknow.

Dr. Prasenjit Maity
Director (I/C) – Institute of Research and Development
Dr. Prasenjit Maity (MSc, Ph.D.), an Associate Professor of Nanotechnology is currently holding the position of In-charge Director of Institute of Research and Development, Gujarat Forensic Sciences University.
Dr. Maity did his graduation and masters in chemistry discipline from Vidyasagar University, West Bengal followed by his Ph.D. in Nanotechnology from IIT-Bombay in 2008. Afterwards he spent more than five years abroad as postdoctoral fellow first at the University of Padova (with Prof. Michele Maggini), Italy and then at the University of Tokyo (with Prof. Tatsuya Tsukuda), Japan. In January 2014, he joined GFSU as an assistant professor in the faculty of Nanotechnology and in April 2018, he was promoted to the position of associate professor of Nanotechnology at the same institute. He is an experienced researcher with a strong research focus on developing new nano-analytical techniques and novel nanomaterial-based devices for forensic investigative research. As principle investigator, Dr. Maity is conducting research projects sponsored by DST and CSIR in the area of Nanotechnology-based innovations in forensic investigations. He is also coordinator of other three sponsored research projects/laboratories at the university level. He has published 23 research papers in international journals with high impact factor and presented his work in more than 20 national and international conferences in the form of invited talk, oral presentation and poster presentation. He also received CSIR research fellowship (JRF & SRF) and qualified in GATE with all India rank of 05 in the discipline of chemical sciences. He received the best research award from World gold council in the year 2012 in Tokyo for his work on ‘Developing a new class of gold nanocluster.’Dr. Maity is a member of Japanese Chemical Society and recipient of Postdoctoral Fellowship from the University of Tokyo.
